Pelican Pipeline Announces Capacity Expansion
AUSTIN, Texas, July 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- WhiteWater today announced the upsize of the Pelican Pipeline to a 42-inch from a 36-inch diameter pipeline. The new scope will increase the pipeline's capacity to approximately 2.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) from 1.75 Bcf/d. The expansion is scheduled to be in service in first half of 2027, pending the receipt of customary regulatory and other approvals.

HOUSTON & CHARLOTTE, NC -- July 28, 2025 (BUSINESS WIRE)-- FIC, an investment firm with a focus on critical infrastructure assets across the energy and power use value chains, has closed on a GP-led secondary transaction for a portion of its existing equity interest in the Matterhorn Express Pipeline (Matterhorn). Matterhorn is a strategically positioned natural gas pipeline with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), linking the Permian Basin to essential demand centers across Texas and the Gulf Coast—from power generation and industrial markets to LNG export terminals. Matterhorn was placed into service in November 2024 and is fully contracted.
Pelican Pipeline Reaches Final Investment Decision
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 31, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- WhiteWater has reached a final investment decision to move forward with the construction of the Pelican Pipeline after having secured sufficient firm transportation agreements with shippers. The Pelican Pipeline has been designed to transport up to 1.75 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of natural gas through approximately 170 miles of 36-inch pipeline from Williams, Louisiana, to the Gillis Hub near Ragley, Louisiana. Supply for the Pelican Pipeline will be sourced from multiple upstream connections in the Haynesville Basin, including direct connections to processing facilities. The Pelican Pipeline is expected to be in service in the first half of 2027, pending the receipt of customary regulatory and other approvals.
